Back in 1988, in Irvine, California, Larry Allan and two partners opened a small Hot Spring Spa store—with just five hot tubs and a big vision.
Larry’s son, Bill Allan, was there from the beginning—handling service calls, making deliveries, and helping with sales wherever needed.
A few years later, the business moved to Yorba Linda. At that time, the original partnership came to an end, and Larry transformed Coastal Spas into a true family business. His wife, Betty, joined him, and together they began building something special with their family by their side.
As the Hot Spring brand continued to grow, so did the store. In 1994, they relocated to Anaheim on Lakeview Avenue, and Bill became a joint owner. Over the years, it remained a family-run operation, with kids, in-laws, and even grandkids all pitching in—each playing a role in the company’s growth.
Eventually, Larry and Betty retired, passing the torch to the next generation.
Today, Bill and his son Jason have grown that small shop into a thriving destination—offering a wide range of hot tub brands, swim spas, saunas, patio furniture, and more.
Not bad for a store that started with just five hot tubs.
